As we get closer to the end of the the year, it’s always great to look back at what we’ve accomplished as a team in Northern Virginia – and the trends we’re experiencing in the market. Mind you, we’re still a month away from 2013, but our sales indicate a consistent bounce-back in the Luxury market and also in the REO and Short Sale side of the business. Here are our numbers so far this year for just the Northern Virginia area:
130 Listings SOLD = $38 million
(29 Regular Sales, 44 Short Sale and 57 REO’s)
36 Buyer Side Sales = $12 million
What’s great to see this year is a stronger trend of regular sales in the Northern Virginia area, including LUXURY homes, which 2 years ago faced a higher number of Days On Market. Of our over $38 million in listing side sales so far this year, 34% were properties priced at over $500,000…the highest of which was priced at $2.2 million.  What’s also great to report is that even more of our listings (29 so far) were investment properties with an average sale price of only $96,059.
