I toured a home yesterday to help a seller determine the value and look at this creative idea she did on her kitchen ceiling!
 

This a creative solution to an ugly ceiling light. If you do not have the money to replace or install new lighting, this is a neat way to add a piece of art over it and still let light through! Just a thought!
 
I actually love doing tours of homes. Not only does it let me get to know my clients better, it gives me insight to their lives, their style, and their hearts. I am better able to help them when I get an idea of who they are and how they live life. When I find out that they have 3 young kids, we can talk about how we can schedule showings around nap times or give courtesy calls before a showing.
 
When I hear that they are planning to move and need to sell quickly, we can become aggressive in marketing and pricing to get the best price fast for their home!
 
When I see that they love eclectic art and fun colors, I can encourage them to tone it down for the rest of us boring people who need a neutral looking space to be able to picture ourselves in it.
 
When I see some things that they could fix to be able to get a better price or more interest in their home, I can give them ideas and names of contractors I trust and work with.
 
And I LOVE seeing their creative ideas! I love seeing new things and different styles of homes and decor! It is just another fun part of my job!
