Changes You Can Make When Your Home Won’t Sell!

 
 

 

Hi, Jennifer Young with Keller Williams Realty here. I wanted to talk about my two appointments today. It’s Monday, happy Monday! And I have two listing appointments.
The first one I went on was a great condo in Georgetown, an amazing location, walk to everything- shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. And it hasn’t sold yet. I talked to the seller about why it hasn’t sold, it’s because it’s vacant and does not show very well because it looks smaller than it is. It really needs to be staged and marketing could be a lot better. The realtor they’re currently working with didn’t have professional photos, no real Internet strategy or exposure, and the unit is just not getting the activity that it should for a Georgetown condo. So we talked to her about staging it, refreshing a couple of things, coming in with our professional marketing package and I’m confident we can get it sold!
The next appointment is a similar situation. It’s a single family home in Alexandria. The clients haven’t been able to sell it and we’re getting ready to go into the appointment and talk to them about why. From looking online, it looks like an amazing house but it might be a little bit overpriced and lack some professional marketing and internet exposure as well.
So that’s the key to this market. You have to have a home that shows great, is staged well. is price correctly and marketed aggressively so the whole world
sees it in order to get the next contract in the neighborhood.
