My husband and I had a great experience working with Lauren Heisey during the house-hunting and purchase process of our very first home! We had interviewed quite a few realtors in order to find the perfect fit for our first-time home buying experience. From the very beginning of our interactions with Lauren, she had an easy-going personality that was a perfect match with ours.
Some realtors we had interviewed were extremely pushy and wanted us to sign the exclusivity contract before we could even ask questions to determine if they were a good fit — but not Lauren! She understood that the home buying process (especially for first timers) is stressful but having a realtor that is compatible with the buyers can make a tremendous difference!
Lauren demonstrated her responsiveness and willingness to answer questions before we signed the contract to work with her — which even included doing a test-run of running comps on a home for us! She was able to answer every question we threw her way both completely and in a manner that we could understand. We were particularly impressed with her knowledge of the home buying process for individuals utilizing a VA home loan.
Once we provided Lauren with our search criteria, she promptly set up a MRIS Listing search. My husband & I attended numerous weekends of open houses and finally found “the one” (which had popped up on one of the daily MRIS search e-mails that Lauren set up). We were so excited about the house that we called Lauren right away to put in an offer since we knew it was a very popular home and had a lot of interest. She was prompt in running comps and put together an offer that we felt comfortable with (including the escalation clause). She recommended that we hold off submitting our offer until the Monday morning following the open house weekend since the sellers would not be reviewing offers until that Monday and we didn’t want to provide the seller agent with ammunition of being able to say “we already have offers on the house” at the open house on Sunday.
There were a total of four offers and the sellers selected ours! Lauren did a great job putting together a competitive offer and went above & beyond to provide the sellers with some background on us as a couple to make the offer more personal. (FYI – All of our documents were signed digitally via DocuSign which was so convenient and expedited the process!) Lauren was also able to provide us with recommendations for lenders. We ended up utilizing one of her recommendations and it worked out great having a realtor and a lender that had worked together previously. Lauren joined us at closing at the title company. All went smoothly and we closed on time! We will utilize her services in the future and will definitely recommend her to friends & family. Thank you, Lauren!
